OK! I've been thinking about running a special sale similar to what I had last year, and I think now is the perfect time to do so.
Since most sales need a special occasion, let's call this one the SerpenCo Legal Defense Fund Sale!
This is going to involve a sale on both the remaining 2003 animals as well as the 2004 babies expected to start hatching around mid July. The 2003 animals are available for immediate shipping (pending weather conditions and working around a show or two I have coming up), whereas you really shouldn't expect your 2004 animals to be shipped until around mid August or so. As far as the 2004 animals are concerned, I noted that last year there were several instances where I had orders being held up waiting for that one last baby to hatch out that I needed to fill the order. So I expect that will happen again this year. You may want to keep a few "second choices" in mind, just in case I just don't get enough of what you have ordered.
This sale is offering a 50 percent discount off of all listed prices!
Of course, as last year, there are a few catches (don't you HATE that!).
- These animals will be sold "right out of the egg".
- No guarantee of feeding, however live arrival IS guaranteed.
- Orders MUST be shipped and will not be delivered at shows.
- Orders must be TOTALLY prepaid at time of the order being placed.
- There will be NO refund of payment if animals are available and you cancel the order. NO exceptions.
- You will have 1 week to arrange delivery when you are contacted that your order is ready to ship or you forfeit your animals and your payment. Expect this to be generally sometime late July thru late August. If you have vacation time, I can work with you. But bear in mind that these are to be sold RIGHT OUT OF THE EGG, so please don't ask me to hold onto them for a few weeks. If I have to feed them, then I am not selling them to you at the cheaper prices.
- This offer will expire when the coupons run out or the expiration date hits, whichever arrives first. For the 2003 animals, that will be April 1, 2004. For the 2004 animals, that will be on July 1, 2004.
- There is not an unlimited number of some cultivars. If what you ordered is not available when your order is ready to ship, the value of those unavailable animals will either be refunded or applied to something else you may want at the same discount level. Keep second choices in mind, just in case.
- Sex ratios need to be balanced. I reserve the right to refuse ANY order that is excessively heavy on females of any single cultivar.
- No midstream changes. I have had some people change their mind 20 times in 10 days about what they wanted before the shipping date came around. Not with this special offer, PLEASE!
- MINIMUM ORDER of $300 (for animals ONLY) before the discount is applied. At least make it worthwhile for me to pack up the box!
- If I suddenly come to my senses, this offer can be withdrawn at ANY time. I have had a headache all day, so maybe some screws are loose....
Unfortunately, you will not be able to combine the orders for 2003 and 2004 animals. The reason is simple: I want to ship out those 2003 animals NOW, not later on in August.

Also, please note this idea I have had recently. Since I got my price list done early this year, actually even before I have started breeding my animals, I am going to make a special offer which may be of interest to some of you. If anyone would be interest in a particular combination of heterozygous genes (such as Opal bred to Butter), please let me know. For such requests, I will set up a special section in the shopping cart program, and if I get enough requests for them, I will do that breeding for you and sell you the babies. Bear in mind, however, that the price of such offspring will have to be a MINIMUM of what one of the homozygous babies would sell for. In other words, if I breed and Opal male to a Butter female, those Amelanistics het for Caramel and Lavender will have to be priced at least for what a regular Butter corn would sell for. That is because I gave up the opportunity to produce a clutch of Butter corns in order to provide this special request breeding. Does that sound fair? So let me know. This could be an opportunity for you to get a short cut on a project you have in mind. But also bear in mind, that I may not be able to fulfill all requests.
