Now THESE are something impressive! As you can see from the pics, they are rather variable as well, and this is just the barest tip of the iceberg. A solid colored purple colored corn snake? Looks like that can certainly be possible.

Anyway, as the name suggests, this is a combination of Blood Red and Lavender. Certainly a real good example of the total being greater then the sum of the parts. Even those animals with pattern showing are still such a dramatic color that this has got to be one of the hottest corn snake projects going. Except for those other dozen or so I have in the works.......

Now why is there so much variation? Two of the young adults I have vary from a very deep dark lavender color to a very light rather pastel lavender. Is there hypo in the lighter one? Wouldn't surprise me, but not according to the genetic history behind that animal.

This is the first year I am actually offering them for sale. I don't expect to sell out of them at the price I want for them, but that is OK with me. These guys are REAL EASY on my eyes, and that will simply mean I will have even more of them to play with as breeders down the road. Yeah, I know, you can roll your own. But how much is a head start worth to you? A LOT of other people are rolling their own as well, so all the time you wasting trying to get your first ones, you can be growing up your own future breeders instead.
